How to find your System Information on Windows

There are multiple method by which you can find your PC’s system information. It can be done by either using CLI (command line interface) or GUI (Graphical User Interface). In this how-to guide, we will show you how you can view your system information in easy steps.

GUI MODE

Option 1 : Using Search – System Information

To open System Information, press the Windows (⊞) key, and type “System”. Select System Information from the search result.

System Summary – Contains details about your computer’s operating system, installed memory, and processor type.

Hardware Resources – View a list of all hardware drivers and information associated with devices (e.g., webcams or controllers) associated with your computer.

Components – View a list of technical components on your computer such as USB ports, the CD drive, and speakers.

Software Environment – View drivers and running processes on your computer.

Option 2 : Using DXDIAG from Rum prompt

Press Windows (⊞) key + R and then enter DXDIAG

Your system information will be displayed.

Option 3 : Using Search – About your PC

Go to search and type about, select “About your PC”

Your system information will be displayed.

CLI MODE

Step 1. Open Command Prompt app in Windows

To open Command Prompt, press the Windows (⊞) key, and type “cmd”. Select Command Promptfrom the search result.

Step 2: Type “SYSTEMINFO” and press enter

In this virtual age it is essential to know your PC information. Also, if working in a corporate or at times you don’t have the label on your computer with the system information, the above-mentioned methods may come in handy.
